WebBERT in a cross-topic scenario for the tasks of ar-gumentclassiﬁcation andclustering onfourdiffer-ent datasets. For argument classiﬁcation, we use the UKP Sentential Argument Mining Corpus by Stab et al. (2024b) and the IBM Debater R: Evi-dence Sentences corpus by Shnarch et al. (2024). For argument clustering, we introduce a novel Weband argument graph edge validation. Being pre-trained on these tasks and ﬁne-tuned in a siamese SBERT architecture, we call these models argue-BERT throughout this work.
