WebIt's also possible the ChiTuBox does a fine job for simple models, but has a harder time for complex models. The model I was printing is a detailed model of a Star Destroyer, so it's possible the software just doesn't know what to with the tiny details. CrimmsonWind • 3 yr. ago That's fair. Zemerick13 • 3 yr. ago WebStep 1 - prepare your .stl model and supports etc in ChituBox. ChituBox also recently added machine profiles for the AnyCubic Mono and Mono X, so you can get going with the correct size build plate quite quickly. Step 2 - do not slice the file in ChituBox, but export it as an .stl by using the "Save As" menu option.
Hollow 3D objects with ChiTuBox to save resin - 3DWork
WebChitubox takes forever to save the slices files. As the title says, every time I close some files in chitubox is take upward or 5 minutes sometimes 10 minutes to save the sliced file. I have 4 printers basically running non stop and you can imagine how frustrating it can get to spend an hour or more a day just waiting for files to save to a usb. WebChitubox got worse, I can't trust it, and the company has become more anti-open source. If you’re looking for a better program for supports then use PrusaSlicer. It’s support point system is a million times better than Chitubox for automated supports but not as customizable in how supports can be configured. how big a bank is ally
How to use ChituBox with Anycubic Photon S or Mono or Mono X
WebThe manufacturer edition of Chitubox was helpful though, because I could look at the default settings and try to mirror them in Chitubox (something pretty close to the between medium and heavy in that app). I'm trying to do auto-support followed by filling in any "red" unsupported areas. WebI used ChiTuBox for a few monthsfor supports, then switched over to Prusa and the change has been notable to say the least. Fewer supports, great placement, and not a failed print since. There are a few extra steps, but they're completely worth it. I still have to use chitubox to export as a .photon due to Prusa not supporting it. WebIf you export your supported files in prusa as a new STL you could load that into chitubox. Just understand that chitubox will see the supports on that STL as a part of the 3D object, so you won’t be able to modify the supports, you generated in prusa, within chitubox Reply OtterKohl • Additional comment actions Alright, that makes sense! how big a backup generator do i need
