Its distinguishing characteristics are small classes and a collegial atmosphere in which vibrant philosophical exchange among graduate students, faculty and visiting philosophers is the norm. Graduate students receive individual attention to their work from faculty members. WebOur admissions process is highly selective: we receive approximately 250 - 300 applications each year for 4-6 places in our program. As a result, we look for students with outstanding potential for graduate work in philosophy. Academic record, letters of recommendation, and the writing sample all play major roles in this assessment.
