Debian stuck on blinking cursor
WebJun 16, 2024 · At next reboot I again stack in the black screen with cursor. When opened the terminal and tried the solution by Ollie again which did not work. Then I removed the "nomodeset" and reinstalled the drivers again. I could log in iinto Ubuntu now and the issues mentioned above were fixed. – Feb 17, 2024 at 10:15 WebI downloaded the Gnome Live Iso for Debian and booted from it. Grub shows up and I boot into it and the debian splash shows but then it turns to a blinking cursor. I think its a driver issue but Im not sure. I have an intel i7-1065G7 and Integrated Iris Plus Graphics.

WebReboot the guest after installing the guest additions. Start lightdm manually from a TTY ( Host + F1) with sudo lightdm Try several reboots of the VM. Due to timing issues it may help eventually.
