WebMay 10, 2014 · The helicopter flight was incredible! We flew all over the Mendenhall glacier and surrounding icefields, getting fantastic views from the front seat. After landing on the glacier we were taught how to use our crampons and ice picks, and hiked on the glacier for about 2 hours, taking dozens of photos.
