WebWelcome to the Vermont Covered Bridge Society website. The society was started in 2000 to address the loss of these bridges and to preserve those bridges that remain. We have semi-annual meetings which at held at different locations throughout the state of Vermont. In addition to the meetings we publish a quarterly newsletter entitled The Bridger. Then we will use Groton’s extensive trail system through a string of conservation lands to end at Fitch’s Bridge over the beautiful Nashua River. About 2 hours, moderate pace. Meet at Fitch’s Bridge (42.62549N 71.60886W).

WebFITCH'S BRIDGE, 32-13-02#2, Town Lattice Truss, built by James Frazer & James Warren in 1870 & moved to present position in 1885. It is 113' long & was added to the National Register on April 29, 1999. It is located off NY 10, on Fitches Bridge road, NE of Dehli. Fitch's Bridge is a wooden covered bridge over the West Branch of the Delaware River. It is in the town of Delhi and is one of 24 covered bridges in New York State. It was originally erected in 1870 in the village of Delhi, and moved to its present location in 1885.
