WebJan 29, 2013 · We were all thrilled to find SUNRISE TELLINS and GAUDY ASAPHIS shells. The SUNRISE TELLINS are the glossy yellow, pink and white ones that have the sunbeam pattern. We (two couples) are avid beach combers and snorkelers who love shelling around of the world in search of great areas to see beautiful beaches and collect empty shells along the way. The glass washed up onto shore. We sat at the edge of the water and just collected the sea glass. There were plenty of green, brown, and clear peices to be found.

I believe the boundary is a few feet beyond the high tide mark. Any shells taken from the beach would be illegal. Also, quite smelly.
