They excel at soloing in my opinion and this is probably the biggest reason it ended up being my main. They can do quite some solo farming and are probably the best runners in the game. For derv builds, VoS is quite good if you can get balls as it relies heavily on hitting multiple foes. It is better than daggers if you're only attacking balls of foes.
