Web18 okt. 2009 · Important! Use a HARD sanding block. Sand the surface with 220 or 320 grit wet/dry paper. Use a circular motion. If you use a soft block, it will conform to the shape already there and will sand the soft parts faster than the hard parts. Use a HARD block and it will come out flat. Keep the block on the face while sanding. WebTrim the veneer slightly over size. A veneer saw and a straight edge work great for this. The teeth on a veneer saw are set to one side only so the saw can run tight against a straight edge. Get gluing. Apply a generous coat of hot hide glue to the substrate.
