Don't expect to be able out tow your buddies cummins, powerstroke or duramax but it will hold its own at its own pace. My 98 3500 regular cab SRW 6.5 gets around 13-14 around town. If you can get it for that price and you can do the work then its your call. The <95's are OBD I and are easier to work with than the =>96's. If you switch one to mechanical injection they are good.
