Web6 de mai. de 2016 · Deserving of high marks based on its label art alone, the Loowit Brewing team hops on the bourbon barrel aged imperial stout wagon and forms their own version based on sweet creaminess, bitter roast and extensive oak aging. Barrel Aged War Tortoise layers in the glass with an inky dark brown legging. WebQuite sweet with a smooth dark grain flavors, and restrained bitterness. Roasted grain and malt character can be moderate to high with a smooth coffee or chocolate flavor, although the roast character is moderated in the balance by the sweet finish. Moderate to high fruity esters. Can have a sweet, dark rum-like quality. Little to no hop flavor.
