If it's a splashback then it will look really dirty and you will be fed up with it after a while Call me a saddo but I am forever cleaning my cooker and then wiping it down with oil to make it look nice - god it pisses me off! Webb20 maj 2011 · Our 8mm Splashbacks are 1mm Stainless Steel mounted on MDF backing with the sides folded over. The attached picture shows a welded corner. An un-welded corner would mean the sides will still be folded but there will be a slight gap where the Stainless Steel doesn’t meet.
