Webb30 maj 2014 · My guess is that the long cranking before starting is caused by either a sensor, or loss of pressure in your fuel system after shut down. This over time will overtax the starter and cause premature failure. Replace the starter and you'll have caught up to me, as I have most of the same symptoms.
