Wait at least 10 seconds. This gives the charger time to reset. Webunplug the adapter, take a normal (best to use a white) pencil eraser, and erase the contacts. Follow up with a light wiping using rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth. once dry, plug back in adapter and try again. There is a way to also clean the power contacts on your surface device, but I would rather you have a pro do that. Best of luck!
