Webb6 apr. 2024 · After setting up a retention policy on Outlook and Teams for our domain we realized some accounts needed a longer retention period but the emails and files past the retention period had already been deleted. I tried going through the Exchange deleted items folders for those users but did not see the emails. Webb22 okt. 2024 · Since you have general policy set to 5 years, retaining the content in the time limit would be "by design". However, as an official workaround, you can temporary remove the hold from the mailbox, delete the items and revert the previous configuration.
